At smeatons smokehouse we only source the finest products. We hold great pride in our support for sustainable businesses as local as possible. We view our sources as the foundation to the fine products we offer, this will be clear in the continuity of standards in our product.

Our pigs come from The Real Pig Company. A family run farm with different breeds of free range pigs. Sonia and Adrian Who run the farm take great pride in there pigs and it shows! We use rare breed pigs for all of our pork based products. This is what we believe to be the best starting point for our delicious apple smoked bacons and gammons. Having visited the farm in Kitley right on our doorstep and realising the true care taken in these pigs and the quality produced by this local supplier we really are pleased to get involved!  The prestigious Loch Duart holds a name of high esteem in the industry with top chefs proclaiming salmon from them to be the closest to a wild caught salmon they have ever used.  Our Loch Duart salmon is accredited with a tag  on the fin. When ever you enjoy salmon be sure to ask for Loch Duart by name!

All cheeses available in a mature age are sourced as so. Are Smoked cheddar of all flavours is made using Residence reserves vintage mature cheddar which is aged further in the smoking process to enable the smoke to permeate through the depth of the cheese. Any cheeses that are not available in vintage are created using vintage recipes, our Smoked stilton is made using Tuxford & Tebbutt an age old  recipe dating back to the 1870’s.
